21st January 2019

WARSASH RIDE

Meet at 10:30 for an 11:00 start at Shore Road Car Park, Warsash. Lunch will be taken at the Golden Bowler, Stubbington. Please phone in advance to book lunch. Back to 72 Brook Lane, Warsash for tea and buns.

BOB POUND MEMORIAL RIDE
HAYLING ISLAND

Meet at 10:00 am for 10:30 am start at car park just past Esso garage on RHS of main Hayling Road. Lunch will be taken at the Barley Mow, West Town, Hayling Island.

PALACES RIDE

Meet at a members house at 10:00 am for a 10:30 am start, contact for details. Large tricycles can be a challenge getting through the “kissing” gates at either end of Bushy Park. The ride does go along the Thames path and one section can be a bit ‘lumpy’ so not suitable for solid tyres or tricycles.

Lunch will be taken at Hampton Court Palace, there are plenty of seats in the garden for those who wish to bring their own picnic lunch. All are invited back for tea at the club members home.

WINCHESTER CRITERIUM AND CYCLEFEST

This is an interesting event in the centre of Winchester where there is also stunt riding, racing and other cycle related displays. Please contact Alan Webber if you are able to attend. We have put on a display for the last 5 years mainly static. The early machines lead off the family cycling event around Winchester, this is followed by serious cycle racing.

THE BENSON RALLY

One of the best supported rides in the country. The ‘Benson’ ride features a popular lunchtime gathering and an informal cycle jumble. Details are available from Carol Gibbons.

HENLEY TRADITIONAL BOAT RALLY

Our usual format of cycle display, illuminated bike ride and costume bike ride. This year’s dress code for Friday night is UNIFORMS. Camping from Thursday through to Monday.

62nd NATIONAL RALLY NAVCC

Message from the organisers NORTHERN COUNTIES VETERAN AND CLASSIC CYCLE CLUB; “The rally will be held as normal on 1st Sunday in September (which is 1st September). We’ll have camping from 30th August to 2nd September. We’re currently firming up on a location near Garstang – we’re down again next week to investigate the various facilities to check that it will work as it needs to. I’ll send details out as soon as we’ve got 100% confirmation.”

Could try checking on the NAVCC website www.navcc.co.uk although nothing was showing beginning of February.

AUTUMN AMBLE

Meet at 10:30 am for 11:00 am start at Norley Wood car park on the B3045, Beaulieu to Lymington Road. Lunch will be taken at the Walhampton Arms Carvery on the B3054 road, Lymington. This will be Keith’s 40th ride!
